Dancing Turtle Records promotes and produces music from emerging artists around the world.
With an ever growing roster of acts encorporating musical styles from leftfield electronica to indie-folk, world, trip hop and soul, Dancing Turtle has become a melting pot for musical eclecticism. It's all about music without prejudice.
We act as a not-for-profit organisation and music co-operative, with any label profits given to charitable causes and artist development schemes. We are also concerned with the social benefits that music can bring, regularly organising consciousness raising music events for pressure groups and charities, channeling the power of music to help stimulate positive social change. This is also reflected in some of our releases too, like the 'Merdeka' compilation, with acts from over 17 countries coming together to raise funds and awareness for the oppressed people of West Papua.
